Web Applications Developer

Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated web applications developer to design, code and debug web applications that provide access to corporate databases. Primary focus is on web development. The developer will be involved in all aspects of the development process. Projects consist of custom web applications for external and internal use.

Recent computer science graduates could be considered. This is a full-time, corporate position.

Education Level

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required.

Qualified candidates will possess the follwing

  • C#, ASP.NET, or Java development skills
  • Knowledge of SQL 2008+, relational database design, stored procedures
  • AJAX authoring, web services, and Java Script/jQuery
  • Web programming experience
  • Excellent problem solving skills
  • Strong interest in emerging web technologies
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Field Service Representative - Jacksonville, FL Area

Hunter Engineering Company, a leading manufacturer of automotive service equipment, seeks a Service Representative for the Company's Jacksonville, FL region.

Hunter Field Service Representatives are independent contractors who install and service HUNTER® quality-branded equipment and also train customers on basic equipment operation. The position requires excellent customer service and communication skills in addition to strong technical ability.

The ideal candidate will have a service background and some computer experience. ASE Certification and/or automotive background a plus. Hunter offers an extensive training program and ongoing training for new representatives, as well as assistance getting started.

Currently, over 300 independent Field Service Representatives support Hunter's customers in all 50 states. Turnover is unusually low and the average tenure for the position is over 10 years.

Purchasing Agent - Plastics

Job Summary

  • Purchase required materials that support production from approved sources to assure on-time delivery at acceptable levels of quality, price, and supplier support.  Lead and facilitate the strategic source selection and approval process
  • The individual will be given total responsibility for their commodity area  
  • Identify, quote, and award bid packages based on Total Cost of Ownership
  • The position will entail working closely with vendors by conducting on-site production facility audits and quarterly performance reviews to support exceptional supplier management
  • Review quality metrics and take appropriate corrective actions with vendors
  • Keep current on industry-wide pricing trends, technological innovations and overall market conditions through research and effective supplier interaction
  • Evaluate existing suppliers and consolidate when appropriate.
  • Maintain proper inventory levels of assigned commodities utilizing tools that support lean initiatives. 
  • Work with engineering as needed to find alternative sources and improve commodity performance.

Education Level

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Applied Engineering Sciences or related field.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of purchasing experience.
  • Preferred knowledge and experience with plastics and molding processes
  • Demonstrated work history of cost savings / control and inventory management
  • Good communication skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel

Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

Hunter's Mechanical Design Engineers are responsible for the development of machines for use in the automotive service industry. Specifically, these positions will be responsible for taking machine design projects from conception through production release. Typical tasks include developing mechanical components and subsystems through the process of investigation, specification development, design, analysis and testing. Pro-Engineer is used for all design projects.

Design includes the selection of part configurations, materials and manufacturing processes to achieve reliable function at low cost. Mechanical engineers are also expected to validate design through analysis and testing.

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
  • 3 to 7+ years machine design experience
  • Component part design
    1. Castings
    2. Extrusions
    3. Molded plastic parts
  • Mechanism design
  • Machined metal parts, material and heat treat

Shipping Clerk

Job Summary

Perform daily shipping responsibilities and process orders for customer parts requests.

Education Level

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications and Experience Required

  • Minimum 1 year warehouse experience, Basic math, reading, and computer skills. Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds.

Principal Duties & Responsibilities

  • Receive and accurately pick shipping order using scanner.
  • Verify completed order's accuracy and pack order in preparation for shipping.
  • Weigh and label package for shipment using UPS software.
  • Prepare pallets for shipment and load them onto trucks.
  • Receive incoming freight shipments and unload pallets off of trucks.

The ideal candidate will possess all of these skills. Candidates possessing a majority of these skills will be considered.
