Web Application Engineer

Job Summary
Design and develop web-based applications that integrate with Hunter's products using C#, C++ and .NET. The applications will be utilized by Hunter Engineering's customers throughout the world to access information and services. The applications will integrate directly with Hunter Engineering's industry leading automotive service equipment, and will often require corresponding software development in the product.

Education Level

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.

Qualifications and Experience

Required:

  • 2+ Years of .NET Framework experience
  • C#, ASP.NET development skills
  • C++ experience
  • Visual Studio Experience
  • Experience with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
  • Experience with Ajax techniques as well as jQuery

System Administrator

Job Summary
Advance the IT infrastructure that includes 150+ servers, 900+ desktops, firewalls, web platforms, AS400, and over 500 users.

Education Level

  • B.S. degree in a related field or equivalent work experience.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3+ years of experience in Information Technology with an emphasis on IT Infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft operating systems, including Windows Server 2003, 2008 and 2012
  • Solid grasp of MS Active Directory and Group Policy in a multi-domain, geographically separated environment
  • 3+ years of experience with designing, configuring, installing, maintaining, and tuning components associated with the LAN/WAN infrastructure comprised of HP and Cisco equipment.
  • Solid TCP/IP network knowledge and troubleshooting skills, with an understanding of DHCP, WINS, and DNS network services.
  • 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, maintaining, tuning and troubleshooting VMware vSphere and related components.

QA Technician

Job Summary
To administer the testing of Hunter Engineering Company software, hardware and other equipment on vehicles that apply to the equipment sold.

Education Level

  • Associate's Degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience preferred.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Must have an in-depth understanding of alignment, brakes, and wheel / tire balancing as it relates to service equipment.
  • Applicants must have a minimum of 1-2 years of experience in the automotive service field.
  • Must have strong computer skills including experience with Microsoft software tools and operating systems.
  • Good communication skills are required.
  • Experience with PC hardware, BIOS, Operating systems, debugging software, and analyzing data logs is preferred.
  • Strong organizational and project prioritization and tracking skills are required.
  • Experience with vehicle on-board computer systems and scan tools is preferred.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  • Make detail-oriented observation of alignment software operation as it relates to sensor hardware during on-vehicle testing.
  • Provide testing feedback and written technical reports to the Engineering Department on the usability and quality of products utilizing bug-tracking software, such as Visual Intercept or MS Team Foundation Server.
  • Make detail-oriented observation of software operation as it relates to balancing equipment and the hardware that it associated with it.
  • Verify that wheel adaptors and sensor fit the vehicle and that the sensors are able to measure the vehicle.
  • Make detail-oriented observations of software used in a safety inspection lane.

Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary

Fixture design to support metal fabrication, CNC programming, capital equipment selection, production process design and improvement, new product introductions, liaison between manufacturing and design engineering.

Education Level

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 0-3 years experience
  • Proficient with 3D CAD software in a fixture or tool design environment, Pro/E preferred
  • Basic skills for 2D drafting software, AutoCAD LT preferred
  • Working knowledge of CNC programming
  • Prior experience with CAM software for lasers and punches preferred
  • Prior experience in metal fabrication preferred

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Design fixturing as need to support welding, machining, and assembly processes
  • Investigate, select, and propose capital equipment
  • Offline programming of CNC press brakes, laser cutters, plate plasma cutter, punches, machining centers, and welding robots
  • Process engineering change orders to update programs, fixturing, and manufacturing processes
  • Assist in prototyping and new product introductions
  • Serve as a liaison between manufacturing and design engineering
  • Other assignments as deemed appropriate by the supervisor
  • 10-15% work travel required

Customer Service Assistant

Job Summary

Responsibilities include general administrative tasks to assist in the areas of customer service, national accounts, central service, and international sales. Responsibilities may also include front desk reception, main switchboard coverage, customer service call center, and assistance to company executives.

Education Level

  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications and Experience

  • This position requires an individual that has the general skills needed to adapt to a wide variety of tasks. Minimum 6 months previous office experience preferred. Requires excellent written and verbal communications skills. Must be highly proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook/Word/Excel). Competent Spanish communication skills would also be a significant plus.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

    General Responsibilities

    1. Cover front desk reception area and provide general switchboard coverage for incoming company calls as needed. Log on to customer service call center during peak periods or to cover absences.
    2. Route incoming calls for company executives and provide assistance as necessary.
    3. Process incoming electronic communications and forward to appropriate personnel.
    4. Provide assistance to Customer Service Reps. and Customer Service Managers for special projects.

    Customer Service Area Responsibilities

    1. Coordinate crane van activity including phone calls and order status updates.
    2. Policy concession request processing.
    3. Outbound calls related to customer satisfaction.

    National Accounts Area Responsibilities

    1. Process OEM Commission requests.
    2. Provide regular reports for specific high-profile accounts.

    Central Service Area Responsibilities

Mechanical Design Engineer

Job Summary

Hunter's Mechanical Design Engineers are responsible for the development of machines for use in the automotive service industry. Specifically, these positions will be responsible for taking machine design projects from conception through production release. Typical tasks include developing mechanical components and subsystems through the process of investigation, specification development, design, analysis and testing. Pro-Engineer is used for all design projects.

Design includes the selection of part configurations, materials and manufacturing processes to achieve reliable function at low cost. Mechanical engineers are also expected to validate design through analysis and testing.
