Hunter Engineering Backs Equipment With a Dedicated Nationwide Service Representative Force

Hunter deploys the largest service representative team in the undercar service equipment industry. Over 280 highly qualified service representatives provide the installation of and training on new equipment, warranty service for new products and continued service for the life of all Hunter equipment.

Each representative maintains over $30,000 in parts inventory, allowing timely, one-stop service. In most cases, a Hunter service representative is within a three-hour drive of a customer. Same-day or next-day service is the rule, not the exception.

All Hunter service representatives are thoroughly trained before and during their career with Hunter. Service training begins with a four-week technical session at Hunter's Research and Training Center at the company's headquarters in Bridgeton, Missouri. This is followed by one week of on-the-job training with an experienced service representative in the field. Then, the new representatives undergo three more weeks of mechanical training back in Bridgeton before they are sent out to a designated territory to fulfill customers' needs.

Experienced service representatives improve their quality of service through semiannual training meetings. Here the representatives stay up to date on new Hunter equipment with advanced training in troubleshooting, new product operation, training techniques, software orientation and special accounts programs.

Hunter's emphasis on training translates to unmatched customer service. Hunter service representatives thoroughly train shop technicians on newly purchased equipment, making on-site visits in the first 30 days of ownership to ensure full understanding of the operation and maintenance of the shop's investment. After 30 days, the service representative returns for a follow-up visit to check if the training has met the needs of the technicians.
