Hunter Engineering and Reynolds and Reynolds announce inspection equipment integration

Automotive dealers will now have greater opportunity to drive more alignment and tire sales through instant access to data from Hunter’s Quick Check® Drive autonomous inspection system

Hunter Engineering Company® and The Reynolds and Reynolds Company, a leading provider of software and services for automotive dealerships, are excited to announce their new breakthrough inspection equipment integration.

Automotive dealers will now have greater opportunity to drive more alignment and tire sales through instant access to data from Hunter’s Quick Check® Drive autonomous inspection system.

Once a vehicle passes through Quick Check® Drive, each vehicle inspection is automatically transmitted to the Reynolds ERA® dealership management system. With this integration, the data will be easily accessible to both dealer personnel and the vehicle owner.

Recommended services are automatically added to the work order for service advisors. The alignment and tire condition will also be automatically documented in the multipoint inspection for technicians. This automation saves time and reduces the learning curve, helping ease the pressures of the widespread labor shortage and ensuring tire and alignment opportunities are not overlooked.

Mainline manufacturers have long advocated dealers increase tire sales as a method of retaining customers for service and new vehicle sales. Customers will most likely purchase tires from the first business to offer them, typically awarding all their subsequent service business as well.

Alignments traditionally rank among the highest-margin services a shop can provide.

“We couldn’t be happier to integrate our inspection data with the Reynolds platform,” said John Zentz, Hunter senior vice president of global sales. “Having all the necessary data immediately at hand is crucial to providing dealership customers with all the information they need to make an informed decision.”

“This new partnership with Hunter Engineering will help us drive greater profitability in dealership service drives,” said Jason Sideris, vice president of fixed operations product management at Reynolds. “Our goal is always to empower retailers with the technology that can improve their workflows, reduce costs and increase revenue. We’re pleased that our integration with Hunter’s autonomous inspection system will achieve exactly that.”
