Innovation Team

Hunter’s award-winning innovation team is responsible for hundreds of patented and exclusive features that make Hunter the most productive undercar service equipment available. Comprised of over 120+ engineers and support staff, Hunter’s innovation team is the largest wheel service engineering staff in the world. In October 2019, Hunter became the first company in the undercar equipment industry to reach the milestone of being granted its 300th patent.  



Electrical Engineering

Hunter was an early innovator in electronic instrumentation for automotive service. For decades, Hunter's electrical engineers have produced high-quality alignment systems, tire changers, wheel balancers, brake lathes and inspection equipment. Hunter's electrical engineers continue to assure high-quality products, like Quick Check Drive® and Quick Tread Edge®, through stress tests and advancements in Hunter's Research and Development center.



Software Development

Hunter's software engineers develop, design, and test award-winning, easy-to-use patented sofware. With the release of WinAlign® in the early nineties, Hunter was the first in the industry to create a Windows®-based vehicle alignment system. Thirty years later, updated WinAlign® software continues to power HawkEye Elite® and Quick Check Drive® technology. 



Mechanical Engineering

Since the debut of Hunter's mechanical wheel balancer, Hunter's mechanical engineers have developed the finest undercar service equipment. Hunter's mechanical engineers provide solutions to industry challenges by employing computer aided design technology to meticlously create, analyze and test equipment like the Revolution® tire changer and Road Force® Elite wheel balancer.



Circuit Board Manufacturing

Since the 1980s, Hunter has employed in-house, advanced design and manufacturing procedures to create sophisticated electronic assemblies for many Hunter products. Hunter continues to design and assemble over 1 million printed circuit boards and cable assemblies each year. This allows for faster product creation, more frequent updates and superior quality control.
