Hunter to participate in SCRS Repairer Driven Education series at the 2018 SEMA Show

10/31/2018 -

LAS VEGAS - Hunter Engineering is pleased to participate in SCRS Repairer Driven Education: The Importance of ADAS System Resets When Performing Wheel Alignments During the Collision Repair Process (RD13) at the 2018 SEMA Show on Wednesday, Oct. 31, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the Upper North Hall, N233.

Led by Hunter Engineering technical trainer, John Shewbridge, the presentation will benefit repair profesionals by increasing their understanding of Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and how they interact across various vehicle systems, and offer insight into future ADAS developments.

The session is recommended for shop owners, managers, repair technicians, shop estimators, as well as estimators from insurance companies.

“Our objective here is to educate the collision repair community about our equipment and how it fits into the repair process,” noted Shewbridge. “Although there are many alternatives as far as equipment and procedures go, only a select few are approved by original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). We want to send a clear message that there is equipment available at the shop level and information available as well as training for technicians to perform these repairs correctly.”

Shewbridge has been an active member of the automotive and collision repair community for over forty years. Throughout his career, he has worked as a body repair, frame and refinish technician, a mechanic, an estimator, collision repair manager, insurance re-inspector and more. For the last fourteen years, Shewbridge has been an independent contractor for Hunter Engineering and is qualified to teach all levels of alignment, wheel and tire installation and vibration classes.
