New alignment racks are designed for efficient service for the largest trucks and vehicles

ST. LOUIS – Hunter Engineering has introduced two new heavy-duty pit rack configurations, designed to service a wide variety of trucks, especially longer and very heavy vehicles.

The new P492HD and P493HD offer ease of access with high-capacity, robust construction for getting vehicles on and off the rack and back in service as quickly as possible.

The P492HD features a space-saving design that includes galvanized runways 226 inches long and 30 inches wide, with a runway capacity of 60,000 lbs. The new rack comes standard with built-in PowerSlide® slippates, with optional PowerSlide® turnplates.

The P493HD provides an extended runway length of 360 inches, 30 inches in width, and a runway capacity of 60,000 lbs. As with the P492HD, PowerSlide® slipplates are standard, with optional PowerSlide® turnplates.

The racks’ enhanced capabilities will unlock new opportunities for shops, allowing service for very heavy vehicles such as dump trucks or concrete pumpers, as well as long and low vehicles, such as buses and coaches.

The new configurations are compatible with Hunter’s current HD jack, along with the new HD scissor jack, providing a capacity of 22,000 lbs. and wide 63-inch reach for independent suspension lifting and solid axles.

Additionally, an optional T-pit extension kit for easy access to the rear underside of the vehicle is available for both models. Modular pit rails in 10-foot sections extend the pit beyond the runways, with no limit to the number of sections.
